Our Story

Mar Hotels

Mar Hotels is a benchmark in the hospitality industry, with over 60 years of experience providing exceptional travel experiences. Our team, made up of highly qualified professionals, combines expertise, passion, and dedication to turn each guest’s stay into an unforgettable moment.

Who are we?

1956 -2017

Mar Hotels Group is a family-owned Balearic business group, founded in 1956, which was initially dedicated to the land passenger transport business.

In 1974 we started our hotel activity, with the construction of our first establishment in Majorca, until we now own 9 hotels in the Balearic Islands.

As a result of our experience in the development and management of establishments in the Mediterranean holiday sector, in 2005 we began our international expansion with the opening of three establishments in the Dominican Republic. In 2017 we have 12 hotels that are managed through three different brands, depending on the location and type of offer offered by each establishment: Mar Hotels, Lively Hotels and Majestic Resorts.+

2018 - today

A new phase began in 2018 with the strategic restructuring of the company. In May of this year, Mar Hotels Group was created, with the aim of continuing to grow in operating units and improving the quality and quantity of the products and services we offer to tourists from all over the world, both nationally and internationally.

In 2020 we completed the business restructuring of the group, led by Juan Miguel Batle, and expanded our business lines in order to diversify the company's activities without losing the essence of our vocation for service and hospitality that has always characterised us.
