Playa de Muro offers bicycle enthusiasts the chance to discover routes running close to the sea, and others that penetrate the interior of the island.
Moreover, many specialized enterprises in cycling are located in Playa de Muro that rent, store and repair bicycles.

Mallorca has a network of roads of over 1,200 kilometres. More than half of them are minor roads and B roads with an average width of approximately 6.50 m., enabling one to travel from the sea to the small villages inland. People who prefer the mountains will find over 150 kilometres of mountain roads in Mallorca, running through extremely beautiful areas.

Another highlight are the ‘Ecovias’, or ‘eco-routes’. These are bicycle touring routes in Mallorca to encourage cycling in combination with discovery of the island’s natural and cultural heritage. This network of itineraries is geared towards cyclists and anyone who wishes to enjoy a pleasant bike ride along routes far away from the traffic congestion of the main roads. These routes are characterised by privileged, varied natural surroundings, with traditional buildings and monuments.

At the moment, the route is operational in 9 municipalities, among them nearby Alcúdia and  Pollença, making a total of 150.9 kilometres of alternative routes.
